Microsoft opens its OpenAI service on Azure, ChatGPT still pending

Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI service is officially available. It provides access to advanced AI models, supported by Azure AI Framework capabilities.

The platform offers to build applications for almost any use case and run them in confidence on Azure. Microsoft promises a platform with built-in safeguards that ensure responsible use of artificial intelligence.

Microsoft proposes to revolutionize your activities and differentiate your organization thanks to artificial intelligence. One can start AI models such as GPT-3.5, Codex and DALL-E. GPT-3.5 is for summarizing and generating written content quickly and consistently for research, marketing, and customer service scenarios. Codex helps generate code and documentation to help developers develop applications faster. DALL•E is used to generate images for product development and marketing scenarios.

Access to ChatGPT will come next. It’s a fine-tuned version of TPG-3.5 that has been trained and runs inference on the Azure AI infrastructure, through the Azure OpenAI service.
