Introduction to Google Workspace (Formerly known as G Suite)

Formerly known as G Suite, Google’s various office apps are getting a streamlined new interface, now Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Google Meet, Docs and Google Forms are now grouped in the same environment, one package. You can ensure time saving synergies within your company and team.

Advanced Integration

In simple terms words, Google’s different tools are integrating better with each other. As an example, here are some highlighted features:

Preview: In Docs, Sheets and Slides, users will be able to preview a link before clicking on it to avoid having to switch tabs and be more efficient;

Mentions : by mentioning someone in Docs, Sheets or Slides with an @, a small popup window will appear on the screen to provide some context and suggest actions;
Creation of documents in Chat: in a conversation on Google Chat, you can create a Docs, Sheets or Slides document directly from the active window with the other participants, no need to open a new tab;

Google Meet in picture-in-picture everywhere: the Meet video conferencing service is on the rise and will therefore be available in picture-in-picture on other tools such as Docs, Sheets or Slides in order to be able to quickly start a discussion orally with other people active on the document you are viewing.
